In this episode of Coffee with KP, we are talking to literary manager Daniel Vang! We shared office space over a decade ago and listening to his career story is inspiring! He was born in a refugee camp in Thailand, graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design and has been in Hollywood nearly 20 years working in representation (WME, Good Fear, Benderspink, 3 Arts.) In this episode, he breaks down the difference between the two jobs (agent and manager) and how he knew that working in representation was for him and might be for you too! If you happen to run into Daniel, feel free to tell him you heard him on “Coffee with KP!”

WHAT IS COFFEE WITH KP?:  “Coffee With KP” is a one-hour group informational meeting with industry professionals over a virtual coffee chat. The first 30 mins, I ask the questions and the next 30 mins I take questions from students nationwide. When stay at home orders were in place mid-March 2020, I realized that my students needed to connect with industry professionals to learn about careers they want, from the people actually doing them like; agents, managers, executives, actors, directors, singers, songwriters, showrunners, editors, business managers and more!

I ended up hosting 174 episodes of “Coffee with KP” talking with industry professionals about what they do, how they do it, and how you can do it too!

These are casual conversation presented to you uncut, unfiltered and unedited. I’m choosing select episodes of my “Coffee with KP: Covid Collection” to share with my paid subscribers on a weekly basis.
